that a teaching strategy predicated
upon the teacher as the mere 'giver' of information
and the student
the passive recipient
of that information creates passive and
uninvolved Jews.
We, as transmitters of the
MESORAH to the next generation, must adopt, and become committed to a
pro-active teaching strategy that involves, challenges, and
provokes the student to evaluate and understand the JUDAISM that they hopefully
will adopt in later life.
